OUR STORY

We love food and we care about the food we love. We care how it's grown, we care where it comes from, and above all we care about the welfare of animals. All the meat we use here, either comes directly from us at Narracott Farm or from our close families farm around the local area. Be it born, raised or reared, all right here in rural Devon. If it's not on the menu, it's because we don't have it on the farm, or in the family!

Our love doesn't just stretch to our animals, the surroundings we live in are what makes us us, and we love them! We pride ourselves in being as responsible and conscious about the impact we have on the area we live in. If what we use is reusable, we'll reuse it, if its recyclable, we'll recycle it, if theres a non plastic alternative, we'll have it.

THE FARM

Narracott Farm has been a working farm in our family for five generations. As far back as the mid 1800's, Narracott Farm was part of the Chillaton and Hogstor Manganese mine. These mines, produced 97% of the country's manganese, with the Narracott shaft alone raising 336 tons of manganese over a two year period.

Narracott entered our family as a milking farm in the mid 1930s. The milk would be taken by horse and cart down through the now walkable bridle path to Chillaton, where it would make it's way to Coryton station for distribution by train. Passing down through the generations, Narracott continues to flourish as a working family farm, grazing cattle, sheep, pigs and a plethora of other furry farm animals. It also boasts our brother's long standing fire wood business and our sister's shop, Lydford Farm shop. Narracott Farm can now add exceptional Wood Fired Pizza to its long and rich family history, all set in immense beauty.
